Comrade Jim Romand

Pvt Jim Romand served with the First Cavalry Division. He was a helicopter gunner and was shot down twice. By the time he was originally discharged he as a Sergeant. However, by the time Jim retired from Army Reserves he moved up the ranks to Lieutenant Colonel.
Jim spent a lot of his time helping our area Veterans. Throughout his career, Jim played "Taps" at remembrance services for more than 3,000 of those who served our country.
Jim was a VFW life member and a True comrade to us all.
